User Agreement & Data Retention Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Chronoflow. This document outlines our user agreement and data retention policies. By using Chronoflow, you agree to these terms.

2. Data We Collect

Chronoflow is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our service:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password (securely hashed)

  • Workspace Data: Projects, cards, columns, and related content you create

  • Support Tickets: Subject, message, and diagnostic information when you contact support

  • User Agent: Browser and device information for diagnostic purposes only

What We Do NOT Collect:
  • IP addresses
  • Location data
  • Third-party tracking cookies
  • Behavioral analytics

3. Data Retention Policy

We believe in minimal data retention. Here's how long we keep your data:

Read Notifications 7 days Automatically pruned after being read
Closed Support Tickets 1 month Automatically deleted after resolution
Account Data Until deletion Removed when you delete your account
Workspace Data Until deletion Removed when workspace is deleted
Automatic Cleanup: Our system automatically removes old data to protect your privacy and keep our service efficient.

4. User Agent Collection

We collect browser user agent strings solely for:

  • Diagnosing technical issues when you submit support tickets
  • Ensuring compatibility across different browsers
  • Debugging application errors

User agent data is only stored in association with support tickets and is deleted when the ticket is pruned (1 month after resolution).

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data

Request correction of inaccurate data

Request deletion of your account and all associated data

Export your workspace data

6. Data Security

We take security seriously:

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS
Passwords are securely hashed using bcrypt
Authentication tokens expire and can be revoked
Regular security audits and updates
